The High Power Committee for formation of Urban Local Bodies (ULB) under Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) comprising of the Legislator in-Charge Salhoutuonuo Kruse, Minister Women Resources Development & Horticulture, Kekhrielhoulle Yhome, Advisor School Education & SCERT, Theyiekielie Tachu Vice President CEB NDPP and Prasielie Pienyu. President NDPP Kohima Region, held a joint meeting with the Councilors elect of KMC on July 8.
The HPC members addressed the house highlighting the functions and provisions of the Urban Local Bodies (ULB) following the election of the Chairperson and Deputy Chairman in consensus with the house.
Neikhozo Soukhrie, whose name, proposed by Aville Rio and seconded by Thejavizo Philip Solo was elected as the Chairperson of Kohima Municipal Council. Khrielevi Chusi, whose name, proposed by Kazheli Tungoe and seconded by Ketousie Khamo was elected as the Deputy Chairperson of Kohima Municipal Council.
