The building is dedicated to the “Safety, Security and Empowerment of Women.”

SDO (Civil), Noklak, Vikhoto Richa, expressed his gratitude to the One Stop Centre (OSC) and highlighted the importance of institutions dedicated to the welfare and protection of women. He encouraged the community to avail themselves of the services offered by the centre whenever necessary. He said the establishment of the OSC in Noklak was undertaken after considering the distance between Noklak and Tuensang, making support services more accessible to women in need.

He further said that although violence and discrimination may not always be openly acknowledged in society, they continue to exist beneath the surface. He stressed the importance of recognising these issues and ensuring that women have access to the support they need. He also clarified that the One Stop Centre is more than just an official institution, it provides temporary shelter for women affected by violence who are unable to return home safely. Such victims can stay at the centre for a week or longer, depending on their needs, he added.

Providing a brief overview of Mission Shakti, he explained that the scheme focuses on women's safety, security and empowerment through various components. He mentioned Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and the One Stop Centre as two key components being implemented, while also referring to Sakhi Niwas, a scheme aimed at providing accommodation for working women.

A brief overview of Sakhi-OSC services was highlighted by Centre Administrator, Sakhi-OSC, S Niamkoi, who stated that it provides support and security to women affected by violence. She informed that the centre had registered nine cases since its inception. She highlighted the services provided by the centre, including first aid and medical assistance, psychosocial counselling, legal counselling and temporary shelter for victims.
