Maligaon, July 12 (MExN): The General Manager of NF Railway, Chetan Kumar Shrivastava conducted a thorough inspection at Kokrajhar, Fakiragram, Srirampur and Alipurduar stations under Alipurduar Division on July 12.
Senior officials of headquarter and division accompanied the General Manager (GM) during the inspection. Shrivastava interacted with the railway officials to check their safety related alertness and inspected various safety related gears at the railway stations. Further, he counseled Railway staff at different levels to further excel in the fields of safety, security and passenger convenience.
He took stock of all the ongoing developmental works in various stations. During the inspection, the General Manager inspected the Kokrajhar railway station, crew lobby, Foot Over Bridge, platform and other passenger amenities. He inspected Health unit, staff colony & on-going station redevelopment work activities under Amrit Bharat Stations Scheme for providing better, additional and enhanced passenger amenities at Fakiragram station. He conducted window trailing inspection of track, bridges and other installation between Gossaigaon Hat and Srirampur station. He inspected the level crossing gates, curves, points & crossings and bridges in various sections.
The GM inaugurated Gang tool/rest room for track maintainers in between Samuktala and Alipurduar stations.
He also conducted thorough inspection of the crew lobby and carriage & wagon train passing office at Alipurduar railway station.
Later, Shrivastava held interactions with representative of unions and Divisional officers and discussed plans for infrastructural development and business expansion to further strengthen the Socio-economical scenario in the area.
