Maligaon, April 17 (MExN): The 132nd birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar was observed at Dr Bhupen Hazarika Sabha Griha in NF Railway hq complex on April 17.
Sunil Kumar Jha, General Manager, NFR and others officials paid homage by lighting the lamp and offering floral tribute to the portrait of Bharat Ratna Dr BR Ambedkar, well known as Father of the Indian Constitution. The officers, staffs of NFR Headquarters and representatives of various associations and unions were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on this occasion, Sunil Kumar Jha mentioned about Dr BR Ambedkar’s contribution towards framing of the Constitution, providing justice and equality to all classes of the society and development of under-privileged section of the society. Jha also praised the role of Dr BR Ambedkar in women empowerment.
