DIMAPUR, April 11 (MExN): The Nagaland Football Coaches Association (NFCA) has condemned what it described as the “process, the inaction and the inadequately slow outcome” in the investigation of the hit-and-run incident that led to the death of football coach William Koso.
In a statement issued on April 11, the NFCA urged the concerned authorities and departments to “speed up the scenario and bring to light the full picture of the episode related to the untimely demise of William Koso.”
The association also voiced its disapproval over reports of bail being granted to the accused in the case. “We earnestly reject the bail said to be granted to the accused by the concerned authorities,” the statement said.
Warning of possible unrest if the matter is not handled with urgency and transparency, the NFCA stated, “The NFCA warns of consequences that may arise due to hurt sentiments leading to public disturbances if the case is not properly settled in the eyes of the Justice, colleagues, well wishers and family members.”
The statement was jointly signed by NFCA President Roko Angami and General Secretary Ayeto Ayemi.
