NPF Minority Wing calls for greater coordination, grassroots engagement

Dimapur, July 22 (MExN): The Central Minority Wing of the Naga People’s Front (NPF) held a coordination-cum-orientation programme at the NPF Dimapur Division Conference Hall on July 22, with participants emphasising greater coordination, discipline and grassroots engagement within the party.

The programme brought together Minority Wing leaders and office-bearers from Dimapur I, II and III Assembly Constituencies, Ghaspani I and II, Dimapur and Chümoukedima divisions, as well as the NPF Central Office.

According to a press release, Assembly Constituency and division presidents raised grievances and offered suggestions on strengthening the party at the grassroots level. Participants also stressed the need for closer coordination and unity to consolidate the Minority Wing across the State.

NPF Dimapur Division President Vihoshe Awomi assured support towards strengthening the Minority Wing in Dimapur district and called for closer coordination with its leaders and workers.

NPF Central Vice President and Central Minority Wing in-charge N R Zeliang spoke on party discipline, organisational guidelines and unity, while urging division and AC-level office-bearers to maintain coordination and cooperation.

NPF Central Youth Wing Vice President Neitho Khusoh highlighted the role of youth and grassroots workers in strengthening the party organisation, while Mahesh Agarwal, COB and DMC member, also assured support to the Minority Wing.

Central Minority Wing President Bishnu Bhattacharjee highlighted the contribution of minority voters and party workers to the NPF and reaffirmed the wing’s support to Chief Minister and NPF President Dr Neiphiu Rio and Secretary General Achumbemo Kikon.

The meeting concluded with a resolve to strengthen the Minority Wing through regular organisational activities, membership expansion, greater coordination and grassroots engagement, the release stated.
