Restores few passenger and DEMU train services
Maligaon, August 23 (MExN): The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to restore some passenger and DEMU train services from August 22 with revised timings for the benefit of short distance travelers, an official release said.
However, services of few trains have been cancelled between Guwahati – Jammu Tawi and Katihar – Amritsar in view of Kisan agitation in Firozpur Cant. Division of Northern Railway, informed the release from the NFR Chief Public Relations Officer, Guneet Kaur.
It may kindly be noted that, during train journey and on arrival at their destination, the passengers will have to adhere to prevailing health protocols of the destination state, it added.
Services Restored:
• Services of Train No. 07690/07681 Agartala – Sabroom – Agartala daily DEMU service from August 22 leaving from Agartala at 16-30 hours to reach Sabroom at 18-55 hours and leaving from Sabroom at 19-15 hours to reach Agartala at 21-50 hours on same day.
• Train No. 07680/07679 Dharmanagar – Agartala – Dharmanagar daily DEMU service will run with revised timings from August 22 (leaving from Dharmanagar at 16-35 hours to reach Agartala at 21-00 hours on same day.
• Services of Train No. 05675/05676 Agartala – Dharmanagar – Agartala daily passenger has been restored from August 22 leaving from Agartala at 17-35 hours to reach Dharmanagar at 21-05 hours on same day and leaving from Dharmanagar at 06-00 hours to reach Agartala at 09-45 hours on same day.
Cancellation of services:
• Services of Train No. 05653 Guwahati – Jammu Tawi special leaving on August 25 will remain cancelled between Guwahati and Jammu Tawi.
• Services of August 23 Train No. 05733 Katihar – Amritsar special will remain cancelled between Katihar and Amritsar.
