Guwahati, July 26 (MExN): The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to extend the services of special train running between Santragachi-New Jalpaiguri-Santragachi for another four trips in both directions from August 5 to 27 to clear the summer rush of passengers.
An official release informed that the special train will run as per its existing composition, frequency, timings and stoppages.
Train No. 08047 (Santragachi-New Jalpaiguri Special) will depart from Santragachi at 6 PM on all Fridays from August 5 till August 26 to reach New Jalpaiguri at 5:15 AM on every Saturday.
In the return journey, train No. 08048 will depart from New Jalpaiguri at 12:15 PM on all Saturdays from August 6 till 27, to reach Santragachi at 11:45PM hours on the same day.
Both ways, the special train will have stoppages at Dankuni, Barddhaman, Rampurhat, Malda Town, Barsoi, Kishanganj and Aluabari Road stations, added the release from NFR CPRO.
The summer special train will consist of 21 coaches- 2 Seating cum Luggage Rakes, 1 AC Two Tier, 3 AC Three Tier, 12 Sleeper Class and 3 Second Class General coaches.
