Guwahati, March 1 (MExN): The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) today informed that a weekly special train between Guwahati and Ranchi will be operated for some period from March 4, besides cancellation and rescheduling of few trains for infrastructural developmental works.
As per an official release, the weekly special train between Guwahati and Ranchi will be operated for 7 trips in both directions from March 4 to April 16.
Train No. 05671 Guwahati – Ranchi will depart from Guwahati on every Saturday from March 4 to April 15 at 11:40 AM to arrive Ranchi on next day at 2:25PM.
From Ranchi, Train No. 05672 will depart every Sunday at 8:30PM to arrive at Guwahati on next day at 11PM and run from March5 to April 16.
Comprising of 20 coaches, the special train will have AC 2-tier, AC 3-tier, Sleeper Class and General Second Class for accommodation of passengers.
Wait listed passengers of other trains in this route can avail this opportunity, stated the release from the CPRO NFR, Sabyasachi De.
Meanwhile, due to pre- non interlocking and non-interlocking works at Khagaria station of Sonpur division in East Central Railway for opening of new single line between Khagaria-Alauli section, few trains will be cancelled and rescheduled.
Train No. 03316/03315, 05263/05264 Samastipur – Katihar – Samastipur MEMU and 05249/05250 Katihar – Barauni Jn – Katihar MEMU commencing journey on March 4 and 5 respectively has been cancelled, the release informed.
Train No. 15909 (Dibrugarh – Lalgarh) Avadh Assam express, commencing journey on March 4 has been will be rescheduled at 11:50 AM instead of 10:20 AM at Dibrugarh Station, it said.
Train No. 04653 (New Jalpaiguri – Amritsar Express), commencing journey on March 3 will be rescheduled at 9:10 AM instead of 7AM at New Jalpaiguri, it added.
