NFR introduces new stoppages for express trains in Katihar Division

MALIGAON, SEPTEMBER 7 (MExN): The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has announced new stoppages for three express trains under Katihar Division to improve passenger convenience, enhance regional connectivity, and provide greater travel comfort.
Effective September 5, Train No. 13141/13142, Sealdah–New Alipurduar–Sealdah Teesta Torsa Express, will halt at Kanki Station. The inaugural stop was flagged off in the presence of Shri Kartik Chandra Paul, Member of Parliament, along with senior railway officials and local dignitaries.

From September 6, Azamnagar Road Station will be included as a stoppage for Train No. 13145/13146 (Kolkata–Radhikapur–Kolkata) Express and Train No. 13053/13054 (Howrah–Radhikapur–Howrah) Kulik Express. The ceremony was attended by Shri Tariq Anwar, Member of Parliament, and MLA Nisha Singh, along with senior railway officials and local representatives.

Officials said the new stoppages at Kanki and Azamnagar Road will benefit passengers from Bihar and West Bengal, strengthen regional connectivity, and meet local travel needs.
