NFR restores frequency of Dibrugarh-Chandigarh Express

To run Katihar-Thiruvananthapuram weekly special train from July 12

Guwahati, July 9 (MExN): The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR), on July 9, informed that the original frequency of the Dibrugarh-Chandigarh Express has been restored and also announced a weekly summer special train between Katihar and Thiruvananthapuram.

As per an official release, Train No. 15903 (Dibrugarh – Chandigarh) Express will now run as per its original frequency from Dibrugarh at 8:05 AM on Monday and Friday from July 22 to reach Chandigarh at 1:20 PM on Wednesday and Sunday. 

From Chandigarh, Train No 15904 will depart every Wednesday and Sunday at 11:30PM to reach Dibrugarh at 7:55 AM respectively on Saturday and Wednesday.

The train has 22 coaches: 4 AC Three-Tier Coaches, 1 AC Two-Tier Coach, 11 Sleeper Class Coaches, 3 General Seating, 1 Pantry Car, and 2 Brake, Luggage-Cum-Generator Car.

Meanwhile, the NFR has also decided to to run five trips of a summer special train between Katihar-Thiruvananthapuram Central- Katihar in both directions to clear the extra rush of passengers travelling towards Southern part of India from July 12. 

Special Train No 05796 (Katihar – Thiruvananthapuram Central) will depart from Katihar every Tuesday from July 12 till August 9 at 5PM to reach Thiruvananthapuram Central at 7:25 PM, every Thursday. 

While returning, Train No 05795 will depart from Thiruvananthapuram Central at 7:40PM on all Fridays from July 15 till August 12 to reach Katihar at 10:30 PM, every Sunday. 

The special train has 22 coaches - 1 AC Three-Tier Coach, 11 Sleeper Class Coaches, 8 General Seating and 2 Second Class Seating-Cum-Luggage Coaches.
