NFR restores railway lines at New Harangajao
Maligaon, September 3 (MExN): Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has completed restoration work on Line Nos. 2 and 3 at New Harangajao station following the settlement of railway tracks, allowing train operations to be progressively normalised through the two lines.
NFR said the restoration would facilitate smoother movement of trains through the section while enhanced safety measures continue to be maintained. Restoration work on Line No. 1 near New Harangajao is also underway on a priority basis.
In view of the ongoing restoration activities, NFR has announced changes to train services. Train No. 15615 (Guwahati-Silchar) Express scheduled to commence its journey on September 4 has been cancelled.
Meanwhile, Train No. 15650 (Narangi-Agartala) Express scheduled for September 4 has been rescheduled to depart from Narangi at 6:30 pm. Train No. 20507 (Sairang-Anand Vihar Terminal) Express, also scheduled to commence its journey on September 4, has been rescheduled to depart from Sairang at 8:10 pm.
NFR said the changes were being made to facilitate safe, smooth and efficient train operations while restoration work continues in the section.
