Maligaon, August 7 (MExN): The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has announced further changes in train services in view of ongoing restoration work near New Harangajao station in the Lumding–Badarpur Hill Section.
According to the NFR, restoration work is underway following the settlement of railway tracks on Line-1 and Line-2. Train operations in the section are currently being maintained through Line-3 with enhanced safety measures.
As part of the latest revision, six trains have been cancelled. Train No. 15617 Guwahati–Dullabcherra Express scheduled to commence on August 8 and Train No. 15618 Dullabcherra–Guwahati Express scheduled for August 9 have been cancelled.
Similarly, Train No. 15615 Guwahati–Silchar Express commencing on August 8 and Train No. 15616 Silchar–Guwahati Express commencing on August 9 have been cancelled.
Train No. 15641 Silchar–New Tinsukia Express commencing on August 8 and Train No. 15642 New Tinsukia–Silchar Express commencing on August 9 have also been cancelled.
Several other services have been rescheduled. Train No. 15650 Narangi–Agartala Express, scheduled for August 8, will depart at 10:30 pm, while Train No. 15649 Agartala–Narangi Express will depart at 11:30 pm on the same day.
Train No. 15609 Guwahati–Sairang Express scheduled for August 8 has been rescheduled to depart at 11:30 pm, while Train No. 15610 Sairang–Guwahati Express will depart at 9:30 pm.
Train No. 15611 Rangiya–Silchar Express has been rescheduled to depart at 11:30 pm on August 8. Train No. 15612 Silchar–Rangiya Express will depart at 5 am on August 9.
Meanwhile, Train No. 15626 Agartala–Deogarh Express scheduled to commence on August 8 has been rescheduled to depart at 11 pm.
NFR said the changes have been made in view of the ongoing restoration work and safety requirements in the affected section.
