Maligaon, August 28 (MExN): The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to operate five pairs of special trains during the forthcoming festive season starting September 2 to various locations to clear extra rush of passengers.
As per an official release, the trains include Train No. 06559/06560 (SMVT Bengaluru – Narangi) from September 2 to November 28 for a total of 13 trips in both directions. Train No. 06559 will depart every Tuesday at 11:40 PM to reach Narangi at 5:00 AM on Friday. In the return direction, Train No. 06560 will depart from Narangi every Saturday at 5:30 AM to reach SMVT Bengaluru at 9:45 AM on Monday.
Further, Train No. 05744/05743 (Katihar – Sonpur – Katihar) will run from September 11 to November 14 for 25 trips in both directions. Train No. 05744 will depart from Katihar every Thursday, Sunday, and Monday at 6:00 PM to reach Sonpur at 1:00 AM the next day. In the return direction, Train No. 05743 will depart from Sonpur every Friday, Monday, and Tuesday at 3:00 AM to reach Katihar at 12:00 Noon on the same day.
The third pair is Train No. 07541/07542 (Katihar – Dauram Madhepura – Katihar) running from September 21 to November 5 for 46 trips in both directions. Train No. 07541 will depart from Katihar daily at 7:00 PM to reach Dauram Madhepura at 10:00 PM on the same day, while Train No. 07542 will leave Dauram Madhepura daily at 10:45 PM to reach Katihar at 2:30 AM the next day.
Meanwhile, Train No. 07540/07539 (Katihar – Manihari – Katihar) will run from September 21 to November 6 for 46 trips in both directions. Train No. 07540 (Katihar – Manihari) will depart from Katihar daily at 8:30 PM to reach Manihari at 9:30 PM the same day. In the return direction, Train No. 07539 will depart from Manihari daily at 5:00 AM to reach Katihar after one hour.
The last pair is Train No. 07640/07639 (Agartala – Dharmanagar – Agartala) running from September 18 to October 30 for 33 trips in both directions. Train No. 07640 will depart daily from Agartala at 5:15 AM to reach Dharmanagar at 8:45 AM the same day, while from the other end, Train No. 07639 will leave Dharmanagar daily at 9:30 AM to reach Agartala at 1:20 PM the same day.
Moreover, the services of festival special Train No. 07046/07047 (Charlapalli – Naharlagun – Charlapalli) will continue for 14 more trips from August 30 to December 2 as per existing stoppages, timings, and days of service, the release informed.
The details of stoppages and timings of these trains are available on the IRCTC website and are also being notified through various newspapers and social media platforms of the NFR, it added.
