NKDA and IEM-UEM Group organize land adoption, tree plantation prog

Kolkata, July 27 (MExN): NKDA and IEM-UEM Group organized land adoption and tree plantation ceremony on July 27. IEM-UEM group President, Prof Dr Satyajit Chakrabarti said that it is proud to be a part of the NKDA initiative to allow educational institutions and other organizations adopt green verges and utilize them for tree plantation.

A press release said that IEM-UEM group, takes the responsibility of the proposed plantation of 1000 Himsagar mango, neem and banyan trees over the stretch of 1.3 acres of land in Green verge 1, Action area IIIB. The management plans to involve faculty members and students to take care of the plants. According to NKDA Chairman Debashish Sen, the main purpose of the initiative is to help self-help groups and also create natural habitat. 

The event was attended by Animesh Bhattacharya, CEO of NKDA; Meghna Paul, CEO of Smart City project and NKDA officials, Prof Dr Sajal Chakraborty, Vice Chancellor UEM, Prof Dr Satyajit Chakrabarti, Director, IEM and other senior faculty members and students.
