Dimapur, July 14 (MExN): The NNC Lotha Regional Council has stated that it reaffirms to uphold the NNC which was formed on February 2, 1946 and which origin is traced back to Naga Club founded in 1918. They also reaffirmed believe in the policy of non-violence and peaceful co-existence with other nation. The Council also mentioned that at present, the supremacy of National institution has been succeeded by Dr. Senka as president, Gen Rtd Panger Walling as working president, K Kintso as vice president. V Nagi as general secretary and S Ezung as joint secretary in the form of selection by the People’s Council of Nagaland for the time being, to safeguard and promote the interest of Naga people and their land.
However, irrespective of tribes and communities we believe the supremacy of national institution rather than the dignitaries because the signatories may come and go but the supremacy of National institution will ever remain generation to generation, stated a press note issued by NNC Lotha Regional Council president Rapentung Patton and vice president Yilow Lotha. The Council also mentioned that they are not bothered about the self styled organisation under the banner of NNC (N/A) which is led by self appointed Z Hosheto as general secretary and M Kiumakum as vice president who were terminated from the national service last year on grounds of misappropriation of national assets in the form of monitory gains. “With the intention of mischievous design they collected big money from in and around Dimapur and also writing in local dailies to defame the devoted leaders and to destabilize the commitment of rightful people’s organisation by way of ill motivated action which is against the national institution,” the NNC Lotha Regional Council alleged further.
They further alleged that “with undue influence they tried to pick up some innocent youths from Sumi and Yimchunger community to execute their devilish plan but before the carryout the task both of them were rejected by own community and again they are still trying to victimize their own community through money power which they have collected from Dimapur area in particular.”
The NNC Lotha Regional Council also appeal to all right thinking people of Sumi and Yimchunger region in particular and Nagas in general “not to mingle up with this frustrated organisation as to avoid the offence committing against the national institution.”
