North East Integration Rally 2026 to connect all eight states in January

SILCHAR, SEPTEMBER 7 (MExN): The North East Integration Rally (NEIR) 2026, described as one of India’s most distinctive cultural journeys, will be held for the first time in January 2026, organisers said on Sunday.

Organised by the KRC Foundation, which has worked for over two decades in education, employment, entrepreneurship, and cultural exchange, the rally will begin in Kolkata and conclude in Guwahati, covering all eight states of the Northeast.

Unlike speed-focused competitive rallies, NEIR will follow the philosophy of “explore, engage and empower.” Participants will travel by cars and motorcycles, visiting villages, forests, tea gardens, heritage sites and major towns, while taking part in cultural nights, green drives, and community projects along the route.

The organisers said the rally aims to promote integration, celebrate indigenous culture, encourage sustainable tourism, and involve youth in hands-on projects. Activities will also be highlighted through photography, films, and digital media.

The rally is open to youth groups, NGOs, adventure clubs, cultural organisations, professionals, influencers, and storytellers from India and abroad. Registration is mandatory, and participants are expected to maintain discipline and responsibility throughout the journey.

According to the KRC Foundation, NEIR will help artisans, raise awareness, build friendships, and inspire young ambassadors of change. The rally emphasises exploration and cultural engagement rather than speed, and is described as a “campaign to explore Northeast India” rather than a competition.

Further details and registration are available on the official website https://northeastintegrationrally.in/  and social media platforms.
