The Central Office Bearers (COB) of the Naga People’s Front (NPF) visited the Kiphire NPF Divisional Front for the first time following the recent political merger between the NPF and the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP).
The visit took place at Seili Complex in Kiphire town on March 25, where a consultative session was held with party workers and office bearers from various frontal organisations.
During the interaction, members of the COB emphasised the need to strengthen the party base, effectively address local issues and ensure proper implementation of party policies at all levels in line with the party’s ideology.
Senior leaders from the visiting team highlighted the importance of unity among party rank and file and urged members to work collectively for the growth of the party and the overall development of the state under the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio.
They also reiterated that development in the Eastern Nagaland People’s Organisation (ENPO) areas has remained a top priority of the Chief Minister. The team congratulated ENPO on achieving the Frontier Nagaland Territorial Area (FNTA) status on behalf of the party and the government.
The Kiphire Divisional Unit welcomed the central leadership and expressed confidence that the merger of the two regional parties would provide renewed energy and direction to the party’s functioning at both grassroots and state levels for the welfare of the people.
The visiting COB team was led by Working President Pusazo Luruo and included Dr Chumben Murry, Vice President and Advisor to the Chief Minister, Ahovi Zhimomi, Working President, and Khongjah Konyak, Senior Vice President.
