Zunheboto, September 24 (MExN): The NPF 35-Zunheboto Assembly Constituency (AC), led by its president G Hekuto Jimo, visited Hezukhu Memorial District Hospital and the district jail on September 23 as part of a goodwill gesture towards the Medical Department, patients and inmates.
During the visit to the district hospital, the party distributed a lump-sum amount to indoor patients as a gesture of solidarity during their difficult times.
The hospital authorities also apprised the party delegation of various issues, including the need for a proper all-weather waiting shed and benches for visitors and a standard waiting room in the Outpatient Department (OPD) section.
The NPF team subsequently visited the district jail, where Jimo encouraged the inmates to utilise their time in custody for introspection and realisation of their mistakes and work towards a better future.
A short prayer was held during the visit, following which edible items were distributed to the inmates.
The NPF 35-Zunheboto AC thanked the competent authorities of both departments for their cooperation.
The party also acknowledged the "consistent effort" of MLA and Advisor K Tokugha Sukhalu, IAS (Retd.), in reshaping and steering the future course of citizens under the 35-Zunheboto AC towards betterment, according to a statement issued by the NPF 35-Zunheboto AC Press Cell.
