
Imphal, July 1 (NNN): The NSCN-K, Zeliangrong Region termed the recent surrendering ceremony at Leimakhong garrison as 'staged managed'. On June 27, altogether 33 underground cadres including 8 NSCN-K cadres surrendered before the then 57 Mountain Division GOC Major General DS Hooda and Manipur police chief Y Joykumar.
Reacting to that event, Zeliangrong Region of the NSCN-K said the programme was a fake one. The NSCN-K then asked from where these 8 NSCN-K cadres were from. The outfit said that none of the 8 cadres named in that surrendering ceremony belonged to the outfit. The NSCN-K said they did not know those 8 cadres. The outfit then alleged that the security force lured unemployed youths to participate in that "fake surrendering ceremony".
