PNB donates Rs 1.20 crore for Assam flood relief

Guwahati, July 30 (MExN): Punjab National Bank (PNB) on Wednesday donated Rs 1.20 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, Assam, to aid relief and rehabilitation of flood-affected families in the state.

The cheque was presented to Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma by Bijender Singh, Zonal Manager of PNB’s Guwahati Zone, on July 29.

“PNB stands in solidarity with the people of Assam during this difficult time. We are committed to supporting the government’s efforts in helping affected families rebuild their lives,” Singh said on the occasion.

The public sector lender, with a legacy of over 132 years, said the contribution underscores its commitment to socio-economic development and corporate social responsibility, particularly during natural calamities.
