The NSCN/GPRN (Unification), led by Ato Kilonser Alezo Venuh, arrived in Zunheboto on Friday ahead of the Forum of Naga Reconciliation (FNR) meeting, hosted by the Sumi Hoho on September 27.
On their way to Zunheboto, the delegation paid respects at the statues of Kaito and Kughato, and at the grave of late leader Hokishe Sukhalu in Satakha Town, remembering the contributions of leaders who fought for the people of Nagaland.
The delegation also visited the Sumi Martyrs Park, where they paid tribute to the Sumi martyrs. Addressing the visit, Ato Kilonser Alezo Venuh highlighted the significance of the martyrs, the role of the FNR, and the importance of unity among Naga Army factions.
He said, “The sacrifices of our people and leaders serve as a great inspiration and guidance for us. It is crucial that we unite all Naga Army factions to stand for our motherland. We are grateful to the Sumi Hoho for hosting the 16th FNR program in Zunheboto. We continue to pray for the well-being and progress of our people.”
He further acknowledged the Sumi community’s sacrifices, stating, “Many from the Sumi community have given their lives for the Naga cause. It is time for all of us to come together and unite for our shared future.”
