Kohima, May 28 (MExN): The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF), during its 2nd Federal Assembly held at Jongpha Village in Western Rengma, Karbi Anglong district of Assam, unanimously adopted a resolution on “Re-strengthening Naga Unity and Collective Identity”.
The assembly, hosted by the Rengma Students’ Union (RSU), emphasised the need for all Nagas to remain united under the enduring spirit of “One Voice, One Naga” despite what it termed as artificial boundaries and geographical divisions imposed upon the Naga people.
In a statement issued by the NSF Media Cell on May 28, the federation said the evolving challenges confronting the Naga people necessitated stronger unity, solidarity and collective understanding among all sections of Naga society.
The assembly called upon Nagas to rise above differences and work collectively towards strengthening cooperation, mutual understanding and solidarity for the collective welfare, security and future of the Naga people.
Following detailed deliberations, the August House unanimously reaffirmed its commitment to preserving Naga unity and advancing the shared vision and aspirations of the Naga people “in one voice and one spirit”.
The House also resolved to extend solidarity to Naga people affected by the ongoing conflict in Southern Nagalim.
The federation strongly condemned what it described as unwarranted attacks on Naga civilians by Kuki militants and their cohorts, reiterating its position that “any attack on one Naga is an attack on all Nagas”.
Further, the NSF appealed to all Naga citizens to uphold prayers for the well-being, safety, peace and unity of the Naga people wherever they may be.
