Dr LM Murry addresses meet
KOHIMA, OCTOBER 2 (MExN): The Nagaland Senior and Retired Doctors Association (NSRDA) held its meeting-cum-picnic at Duolhou Garden, Kohima, where around 60 retired doctors from across the state participated.
The gathering was addressed by Dr LM Murry, Dr Dietho Angami and Dr Deitsolo Kapfo. Dr LM Murry, 94, the oldest living doctor in Nagaland, exhorted the members and recalled how, during his time, the government provided free treatment, medicines and food to patients. He lamented that patients today have to bear the cost of everything, raising concerns about affordability.
A number of issues related to healthcare delivery and patient welfare were discussed during the meeting. The reunion was followed by a feast and a musical evening featuring performances by veteran singers.
