Bengaluru, April 9 (MExN): The Naga Students’ Union Bangalore (NSUB) and the Eastern Nagaland Students’ Union Bangalore (ENSUB) have signed two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with St Claret College (Autonomous) and Sakra World Hospital to strengthen student welfare and community support.

The MoU with St Claret College aims to create a structured partnership to enhance educational opportunities for Naga students, including fee concessions for those enrolling at the institution and access to campus infrastructure for union-led events.

In a parallel initiative, the two student bodies have partnered with Sakra World Hospital to expand healthcare access for the Naga community in and beyond Karnataka.

Under the agreement, discounted medical services will be provided, along with support for individuals not covered under the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS), offering financial relief during medical emergencies.

In a joint statement, the presidents of NSUB and ENSUB said the partnerships mark a significant step towards building a stronger support system for the Naga community.

They emphasised that the initiative seeks to ensure that no Naga student is held back by financial or structural barriers, while also addressing the need for accessible healthcare in a city like Bengaluru.

The unions expressed hope that the collaborations would help empower the community, uphold dignity, strengthen security and foster a greater sense of belonging.
