NU scholar Shisak Sharma wins overall best performance at INNOST NANO 2025

LUMAMI, NOVEMBER 25 (MExN): Shisak Sharma, a doctoral student in the Department of Chemistry at Nagaland University, has won multiple honours at the International Conference on Innovations in Nanomaterials, Nano Devices and Smart Technologies (INNOST NANO 2025), held from November 12 to 14.

The conference was jointly organised by SGT University, Gurugram, and Research Wheel Publishers.

Sharma received the “Overall Best Performance” award, which carried a cash prize, in recognition of his contributions to the scientific sessions. He also bagged the “Best Paper Presentation” award in a technical session and was conferred the Research Excellence Award.

Nagaland University Vice-Chancellor Prof JK Patnaik congratulated Sharma, stating that the achievement had brought laurels to the university. Prof Ambrish Singh, Head of the Department of Chemistry, also commended the scholar for his performance on an international platform.

Sharma, who is pursuing his PhD under the supervision of Prof Dipak Sinha, presented research on next-generation photocatalysts for advanced water purification, underscoring the university’s work in cutting-edge environmental research.

INNOST NANO 2025 served as a global platform for scientists, academicians, industry experts, entrepreneurs, policymakers and young researchers to share knowledge and discuss frontier developments in nanoscience, nanotechnology and smart materials. The three-day event featured 33 technical sessions and saw participation from more than 300 researchers.
