Senapati, August 24 (MExN): The Naga Women’s Union (NWU) today expressed strong dissatisfaction over the death of 12 year old - class V student of Standard Robarth Higher Secondary School, Canchipur, Imphal who was found hanging in her hostel dormitory on July 18 last.
In a press statement, the NWU “strongly condemned such heinous incident meted out on an innocent minor student.” Stating that hostels are the second home for the students where parents have great expectation of their every child out of it, the “incident traumatized and deeply disturbed the whole student community proving insecurity of students’ lives,” it added.
Theh Union further stated that it can only create tension and cause fear among the students and parents. Such incident should be condemned by every walk of life, it asserted.
The NWU urged the concerned authority to book the culprit(s) involved and deliver justice to the victim’s family and society as a whole at the earliest so that such incidents do not recur in future.
