Jalukie, March 14 (MExN): The Liangmai Baptist Association LBA (N) Men Department organised an Open Penalty Shootout Tournament at Public ground, New Jalukie on March 14.
A DIPR report stated here that the event was graced by Rev Dr Phughoto Sema, Executive Secretary, Western Sumi Baptist Akukuhou Kughakulu (WSBAK) and Raithu Newmai, Assistant Audit Officer Office of Accountant General and also President of Peren District Football Association (PDFA) as special guest for opening ceremony and closing ceremony respectively.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Rev Dr Phughoto stated that it is only through church and sports that allows people of different tribes and languages to come together in unity keeping their differences aside. He stressed on the importance of loving others and living in unity with each other which further impacts the world at large.
At the closing ceremony, Raithu Newmai encouraged all the participants and congratulated the winning team.
All together 85 teams participated at the Open Penalty Shootout Tournament where SYO Samziuram A was declared as the champion team and walked away with cash prize of Rs 20000.
