A one-day orientation on child rights and school safety was organized at GHSS Tseminyu on October 4.

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 4 (MExN): In an effort to raise awareness about the rights of children and to foster an environment conducive to education devoid of coercion and mental stress, a one-day orientation on child rights and school safety was organized at GHSS Tseminyu on October 4.
This initiative was spearheaded by the Nagaland State Commission for the Protection of Child Rights in collaboration with the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Nagaland, a DIPR report informed.
The event was attended by parents, teachers, and students. Alun Hangsing, Chairman of the Nagaland State Commission for the Protection of Child Rights, Legal Advisor Akumla Longchari (NSCPCR) and Legal Consultant Lichani Murry (NSCPCR) addressed the gathering.
The resource persons include Dr Zavise, a professor at SCERT Nagaland, and Kegwalo Thyuth, Joint Director at SCERT Nagaland. The program was chaired by Hichulo Semy, Principal of GHSS Tseminyu.
This orientation program marks a significant step towards safeguarding the rights of children and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for their education, the DIPR report stated.
