Over 1,700 learners appear for FLNAT in Dimapur and Tuensang

Leaners undertakes their FLNAT test under the ULLAS (Understanding of Lifelong Learning for All in Society) programme in Dimapur on March 21.

Dimapur/Tuensang, March 22 (MExN): The Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Assessment Test (FLNAT) was successfully conducted across Dimapur and Tuensang districts on March 21 under the ULLAS (Understanding of Lifelong Learning for All in Society) programme, implemented through the Nav Bharat Saaksharta Karyakram.

In Dimapur, a total of 780 learners aged above 15 years registered for the examination, which was held across 105 learning centres in the district, including the newly bifurcated districts of Niuland and Chümoukedima.

Around 210 volunteer teachers were deputed as invigilators to ensure the smooth conduct of the examination.

According to a press release issued by District Education Officer, Dimapur, Jevika Kiba, district officials and supervisors of adult education visited various examination centres to oversee the smooth conduct and successful implementation of the programme.

Meanwhile, Tuensang district also successfully conducted the FLNAT on the same day under the ULLAS programme.

As per a press release issued by the District Education Office (DEO), Tuensang, the assessment was conducted at 106 examination centres, with 974 learners appearing from across the district, covering those enrolled under the ULLAS programme.

Supervisors visited several examination centres, interacting with centre superintendents and volunteer teachers involved in the process.

The ULLAS programme is making a positive impact in promoting education and enhancing foundational literacy and numeracy skills in the region.
