KOHIMA, OCTOBER 19 (MExN): Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister and BJP Legislature Party Leader Y. Patton have extended his congratulations to the Naga People’s Front (NPF) and the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) on their merger, describing it as a notable political development in the state.
Patton also congratulated Chief Minister Dr Neiphiu Rio on being chosen as the Leader of the NPF Legislature Party following the merger. He conveyed his best wishes to Rio and to all members of the newly merged entity.
He said such political decisions reflect each party’s strategic choice and direction, while expressing his good wishes to both organisations.
The Deputy Chief Minister further stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) respects the decisions of its allies and reiterated that the party remains committed to delivering development, transparency and good governance across Nagaland.
