Maligaon, August 23 (MExN): Pension Adalat was held at Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) headquarter on August 23 as a part of nationwide Pension Adalat Programme for on-the-spot settlement of pensioners and family pensioners of NFR. A press release from PJ Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer.
Stated the Adalats were also held at five divisions of NF Railway viz. Katihar, Alipurduar, Rangiya, Lumding, Tinsukia and two workshops were held at New Bongaigaon and Dibrugarh of NF Railway. Members of NFR Pensioners’ Association, representatives from banks and members of recognized unions took active part in the Adalats where a total of 195 items were discussed for settlement. Most of the items tabled during the Adalats were amicably settled as a result of fruitful discussion between Railway Administration and pensioners, it added.
