Dimapur, September 5 (MExN): The Longleng District Adhoc Teachers Union has appealed Naga Civil Societies /Associations/Organizations to refrain from using the tag 'bogus' when it refers to the ongoing Adhoc teachers' issue.
The union in a press note appended by its general secretary Y Taümei stated that termination has already been done so the term bogus does not apply anymore to the present Adhoc teachers. The present teachers have been screened, tested for several times and has already been filtered. Therefore, there is nothing to be confused or to complicate the issue. “…the teachers are not illegal immigrants but are bonafide citizens like any other citizens. The teachers have been giving their sincere services towards the school for the last 10 years or more. Therefore, don't they also have a right to claim for their positions? Fellow Citizens if we are not mindful of what we say, your words will destroy the life of many. Let us be equally responsible for the fate of the teachers.”
Also, it has acknowledged the State Government and the Education department for the firm decision they have taken on August 23 to clear up the ongoing teachers issue by November 30.
