Senapati, August 4 (MExN): Poumai Naga Union (PNU) organized a felicitation programme of W Ashiho Asoumai who was recently inducted as NSCN/GPRN Collective Leadership member at PK Shedu Resort, Senapati on August 4.
A report received here stated that PNU, President, D Dailord Pao in his welcome address said the responsibility is huge for the people and the nation and asked W Ashiho Asoumai to shoulder responsibilities prayerfully.
Ashiho Asoumai in his address said that he decided to work for the Naga people since 1992 and has been serving for the Naga nation for 30 years. He said with the status assigned to him come with lots of responsibilities and assured his best service for the people. He urged for “prayer support and guidance so as to make the right decision as he would be representing all of them.”
Convenor, Poumai National Workers’ Welfare, NSCN/GPRN, PS Shimray Kidu in his address said "collective leadership is chosen among many people and they are the most trusted and capable leaders. CAO Shepoumaramth, KS Peter urged the collective leader to lead and shelter our district people."
Various frontal organizations like PNU, Poumai Naga Naotumai Me, Poumai Naga Tsiidoumai Me, various national workers union, Poumai Naga Hoho Nagaland, public union, various circles of Poumai area, different villages, individuals and others felicitated Asoumai during the programme. Blessing prayer for Asoumai led by Rev P James Executive Secretary PNBA was also said during the function.
The programme was attended by public leaders, church leaders, national workers, students’ and women leaders, public intellectuals and others.
