Poumai Naga Baptist Association Pentennial Fellowship begins

Senapati, December 18 (MExN): A three-day long pentennial fellowship of the Poumai Naga Baptist Association (PNBA) commenced at Mini Stadium, Senapati at Senapati District Headquarters on December 17.


Hosted by the town Churches in Senapati, over three thousand people from eighty two Churches are participating at the event, a press release informed.
The Fellowship’s flag hoisting and Hall Dedication was executed by the Administrator of the event, Rev. K James Angam.


In the inaugural service, the Executive Director of Angami Baptist Churches Council (ABCC), Rev. Dr. Vitsilhuto Dolie spoke on the topic, ‘Loving One Another’, where he stressed that the “love for one another should be after the pattern of Christ’s love, that we must imitate Jesus in loving others.”


Further, he mentioned, ‘love involves concrete and objective acts, and in order to love, we need to forgive others as Christ forgave us and we must consider others better than ourselves,’ the release said.


Dr. Vitsilhuto observes that “Nagas have improved in various aspects and fields, but our love for one another has grown colder. For Nagas, love has become optional. To love we’ve to put on love, for we cannot love unless we’ve love”. The listeners were encouraged and challenged by his inspiring message of love, it added.


Mt Pisgah Choir, Chakhesang Baptist Churches Council Choir, Ruth Apao and. Kha Asane also presented songs at the inaugural service.


According to The Sangai Express, on the first day, Rev Dr Zelhou Keyho, General Secretary, Nagaland Baptist Churches Council also dwelled on the topic "Be rooted in Christ." while Rev P James, Executive Secretary, Poumai Naga Baptist Association talked on "Living worthy of God's call.".


Pr Stephen Daigle, Associate Pastor, Celebration Church, New Orleans, USA and co-founder of EPIC Ministry spoke on the theme of the event and 'Saved to save'.
Mt Pisgah College Choir, Chakhesang Baptist Churches Council Choir, Host Churches Choir, Kodom Baptist Churches Choir, Koide Baptist Churches Choir, Maram Naga Baptist Association Choir, Poumai Baptist Church, Senapati Choir, Onaeme Baptist Churches Choir, Chumai Baptist Churches Choir and Tunggam Baptist Churches Choir will bring choir songs during the programme, it added.
