Power Minister alleged over lack of development

Dimapur, July 30 (MExN): The Assembly Youth Congress Committee of 32 A/c Atoizu under Zunheboto district has lamented over the poor development works and lost of unity amongst the public of the constituency.
The AYC in a note issued by its president Kakiho S Aye has alleged that Doshehe Sema, Minister of Power & Election has not visited the constituency since 2008.
Stating that he was elected three times consecutively, however, he has not done any remarkable development works. It also accused that he is responsible for bringing division among the people.
“…as per the government norms the elected Representative of the legislative Assembly has sufficient fund under LADP every financial year for the development of their respective constituency but to our astonishment the said project are all consumed by the concern Minister in order to flatten his belly. To be specific, there is some portion of Villages which is still not connected with the Constituency Head Quarter and the people find acute problems in reaching it. Where are the hundreds of CGI sheet had gone which has been provided by the government for the Rural housing under IAY Scheme? There is none of the households benefitted under this scheme in Atoizu Constituency,” it alleged further.
It also went on saying that the roads which connect Atoizu Town from the state Highway Zunheboto-Mokokchung is in pathetic condition making it hard for vehicles to ply.
The AYC has questioned the minister to clarify to the constituency for what are the “reasons of stagnating in developing process”.
Also, in regard to brining disunity in the constituency, the AYC stated that right after the general election, the Town Council Members of Atoizu has been dissolved by the Power Minister and though under his direction New Town Council members were elected but due to "political reasoning" they could not continue their terms and now it has been dissolved completely.
Further, it has alleged the minister for instigating “dirty politics” which brought disunity among the people of Atoizu and that he will be responsible for any untoward incident in future.
The AYC has demanded the minister to clarify on the usage of annual developmental fund of Rs 13 lakh under Small Town Developing Scheme.
