Dimapur, July 11 (MExN): Power supply to four districts in Nagaland – Dimapur, Chümoukedima, Peren and Niuland – will remain suspended for three hours on July 13 morning, the state’s Power Department Transmission Division has announced.
The shutdown has been scheduled from 5:30 am to 8:30 for undertaking vital rectification works on 132kV isolators at the 132kV Nagarjan sub-station.
According to an official notification issued by Executive Engineer Er SI Asangba Tikhir, the work involves two critical 132 kV transmission lines – Dimapur PG-Dimapur (NL) - Ckt-I and Ckt-II – which supply power to the affected districts.
“During the said period there will be complete shutdown of power supply to Dimapur, Chümoukedima, Peren and Niuland Districts,” the notice stated, while acknowledging the inconvenience caused to consumers and appealing for their cooperation.
Power outage hits seven localities in Dimapur
Dimapur, July 11 (MExN): Power supply to seven localities in Dimapur was disrupted on Saturday after a “major technical defect” in the 33/11 KVA, 10 MVA Power Transformer at the Supermarket sub-station. The affected areas include Half Nagarjan, Nejati Colony, Police Colony, Bank Colony, Ura Villa, Circuit House area and the Supermarket area, according to a press release issued by the Electrical Division, Dimapur. Executive Engineer Lhuvoyi said, “The department is making all effort to restore the power supply at the earliest.” The department has appealed to the affected consumers to “kindly bear the inconvenience and cooperate with the department during the restoration process.”
