Railway Board Chairman inspects Bairabi-Sairang line

Maligaon, August 25 (MExN): Satish Kumar, Chairman of the Railway Board & Chief Executive Officer (CEO), conducted a comprehensive inspection of the newly constructed 51.38 km-long Bairabi - Sairang New Line Railway Project on August 24.

This rail link is set to connect Mizoram’s capital, Aizawl, with the national railway network for the first time upon completion.

During the inspection, the Chairman was accompanied by Chetan Kumar Shrivastava, General Manager of NF Railway, and Arun Kumar Chaudhary, General Manager (Construction) of NF Railway, along with other senior railway and construction officials.

Kumar reviewed the progress on key infrastructure elements of the project, including bridges, tunnels, and stations along the challenging route. Despite the difficult terrain, the Northeast Frontier Railway has achieved remarkable progress in overcoming significant geographical and engineering hurdles to bring this long-awaited project to fruition.
