Railway Protection Force rescues five minors 

Maligaon, October 6 (MExN): The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of NF Railway rescued five minor boys from different stations during September 27 to 30 over NF Railway. The rescued minors were handed over to the respective Childline for their safe custody and further course of action.

On September 27, RPF of New Jalpaiguri conducted a routine check in Train no. 15903 at New Jalpaiguri railway station. During the check, they rescued one run away minor boy from the train. In a drive, on September 29 against human trafficking, unauthorized hawking, begging etc at Katihar railway station, RPF of Katihar (East) rescued two runaway minor boys. On the same day, RPF of Guwahati conducted drive against human trafficking at Guwahati railway station and rescued one run away minor boy. On September 30, RPF of Silchar conducted a routine check at Silchar railway station where they rescued one run away minor boy. The minor was handed over to Childline/Tarapur/Silchar, stated a press release issued by Sabyasachi De, Chief Public Relations Officer, NFR.
