Under constant pressure and duress following his misfortunes that arose due to his random loans and debts he owed to various victims and having no means of shelter and from fear of reprisals, he landed up in Khehoi camp in January 2010 and was taken into their fold. Kechangulie Angami, was offered a high profile post of Tatar as the situation then, was such that it had to have someone from the Angami tribe to take care of the Angami region.
The release stated that after having established himself as a Tatar in an organization, Kechangulie resorted to all means of financial transactions with support from his wife, who in turn took advantage of her husbands position as an UG. The MIP said that it had enough evidence and documents to substantiate the wrong deeds committed by Kechangulie and his wife which were provided by the victims of the duo.
Meanwhile, in another reaction to the response by the GPRN/NSCN Angami region, finance secretary, NSCN/GPRN (Khaplang) A.Kits Achumi has dared Kechangulie Angami of calling him (A.Kits Achumi) an imposter. Stating that he (A.Kits Achumi) joined the national movement since decades long and is still persistent and consistent with the Naga political movement under the leadership of SS Khaplang, the finance secretary also dared Kechangulie, who is oblivious to Naga political issue, to have an open debate on his knowledge and his contribution to the Naga cause during his brief stint as a National worker.
