Dimapur, September 21(MExN):The Station Manager of Air India Ltd. Dimapur has informed that due to operational reason,the departure time of AI 9752/22SEP (DIMAPUR/GUWAHATI) has been revised to 1105HRS.Therefore, joining passengers of AI 9752/22SEP for Guwahati are requested to report at Dimapur Airport at 0930HRS.
IRCSN to conduct “relief fund drive” for quake victims
Dimapur, September 21(MExN):The Indian Red Cross Society Nagaland State Branch will be conducting a "Relief Fund drive" for the victims of September 18 earthquake which hit Sikkim and other neighboring states. In this connection the IRCSN has decided to go on a “relief fund drive” with its volunteers on September 23 in Kohima. The IRCSN therefore has appealed to all the people to contribute to the “Relief Fund” as a gesture of our concern and solidarity with the people of Sikkim who have borne the brunt of the devastating earthquake, informed a press note issued by its general secretary Zakie Kire. It also stated that any contribution to this cause may be given to the Red Cross volunteers or directly to the office of the IRCSN, Kohima.
Concerned orgs to discuss impact of Climate Change
Dimapur, September 21(MExN):A one-day consultative programme on the impact of Climate Change in Nagaland is to be held September 24. The programme is organized by the North East Dialogue Forum and Bethesda Youth Welfare Centre of Dimapur and with logistic support from 1st Nagaland Girls Battalion NCC and the Kekhrie Foundation. The venue for the program is Japfu Hotel in Kohima and would be held from 11:00 am till 1:00 pm. “The consultation is basically to share knowledge, learn from each other and the role we can play. Two facilitators from North East Dialogue Forum will be present at the consultation to share the progress in connection with state plan related to Climate Change of other northeastern states,” stated a note received here from Chairman Dr. P Ngully.
GPRN/NSCN recovers handbag
Dimapur, September 21(MExN): The GPRN/NSCN Town Command members chased down a bag snatcher in Honkong Market area and recovered a medium-sized pink-coloured ladies handbag on September 19. A sum of Rs. 1700/- was found inside the handbag. There was no other item. The owner of the said handbag may contact town command office at 9436003288 and claim the bag with valid ID proof, informed a press note issued by MIP, GPRN/NSCN.
Ketsapo Village Council apologises
Dimapur, September 21(MExN):Ketsapo Village Council has apologized to the consumers of Phek town and PHE Department for the damage of water supply pipes due to ongoing road widening work between its village and Phek Town. “ Our village has a great respect for the water supply consumers of Phek town and PHE Department alike. And for which we permitted the water to be tapped from our ancestral land. And we will continue to do so. On the other hand, a development of village road was also needed and for which the inconvenience is caused. However, the works will be completed at the earliest possible time and till then we request all concerned to bear with us,” stated an apology note appended by its chairman Zachineyi Vadeo.
