Dimapur, September 30 (MExN):
The Deputy Commissioner of Tuensang T Mhabemo Yanthan has informed in a press note that the Tuensang district will be celebrating RTI week from October 5. In this regard a seminar has been organized for all district officer and prominent NGOs at 11:00 am on October 12 at the Conference Hall if the DC. The tribal bodies and students’ unions are requested to sent one participant for the seminar.

ASED meet today

Dimapur, September 30 (MExN):
The general meeting for Association of Selected Entrepreneurs of Dimapur district will be held on October 1 at IMC Hall. The meeting will start from 11:00 am. Entrepreneurs are requested to submit a photocopy of EDP training certificate to the officials before 11:00 am. Any grievances or agendas should be submitted to the officials before 11:00 am. The selected entrepreneurs are requested to bring registration fee of Rs 100 for state

Peren Govt. College NSS carries out cleanliness drive

Dimapur, September 30 (MExN):
Peren Government College NSS conducted a social work at Peren town under the theme: “ Cleanliness Drive” on September 30. The Social work was carried out with assistance from the district administration providing vehicle for conveyance. Some of the church members from Peren Town Christian Revival Church also joined the volunteers in cleaning the town. Visiezolie Yashu , Programme Officer , NSS Unit Peren Govt. College extended his thanks and gratitude to the Administration Authority for extending all possible help in carrying out the said programme successfully.

Inter-college debate competition

Dimapur, September 30 (MExN): An inter-college debate competition was held on Friday, September 30 at SD Jain Girls’ College Dimapur. The competition, open only to girl students of colleges in Dimapur, was on the topic: ‘Only women’s education can remove the menace of AIDS’. Debators representing as many as eight colleges participated.  City College of Arts and Commerce represented by Easter Konyak emerged the overall winner. She was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 3000 alongwith commendation. Libo of Patkai Christian College and Sentinaro of SD Jain Girls’ College were adjudged the first runners-up and second runners-up respectively.
The judges for were Roselene (department of English) from SD Jain Girls’ College, Kamala Roy (department of Commerce) from Pranabananda Women’s College and Tiajungla (department of Political Science),Saku’s
Mission College.
