DSA Dimapur informs

Dimapur, July 1 (MExN):
The District Statistical Officer (DSO) Dimapur have informed all government head teacher/teacher in-charge within Dimapur district, who have been authorized to issue birth certificate in their respective village and have submitted their bio-data along with their photographs are asked to come and avail their identity card from the office of DSO, Dimapur during office hour from July 24.

KVYO condemns IRB

Dimapur, July 1 (MExN):
Kohima Village Youth Organization (KVYO) has condemned the brutal physical assault on our sister “Major K. Kuotsu (Ketholebeinuo Kuotsu) and her husband Major Deepak Tamor” on June 30at Purana Bazaar, Dimapur by the IRB personnel.  “The KVYO wonders if this can happen to a lady, what could be the fate of common people? .What ever may be the differences between the state police forces and the Indian Army, if any , female personnel should be treated with respect and tolerance at all cost ,” stated a press note issued by Peter Rutsa, Vice President, KVYO Medovilhoulie Tsiekha, General Secretary KVYO. However, the KVYO also stated that it appreciate the selfless duty done by the IR personnel in the law and order front, in-spite of their shortcomings, but at the same time make sure that such incidents are avoided which can erase all the hard works done.  The KVYO urged the state government to deliver justice according to the law and request both the state police forces (IRB) and Indian Army for mutual request and tolerance.

Special grant for
backward tribe students

Kohima, July 1 (MExN):
The Directorate of Underdeveloped Areas informed the beneficiaries of six backward tribes- Chang, Khiamniungan, Konyak, Phom, Sangtam, and Yimchunger to collect the second installment for the special grant for backward tribe students during 2009-10 during office hours on or before July 31 2011. They have been requested to bring xerox copy of school/college ID card duly attested by the head of the institution where the student is presently studying, one passport size photo similar to the one already submitted and mark sheet of promotional exam duly attested by any gazetted officer. This was stated in a release issued by Alan Gongmei, director Underdeveloped Areas.
