9 NNC members declare support for VP

Dimapur, July 5 (MExN):
Nine member of Yimchunger Region NNC has expressed their support for “M.Kiumukam Yim. Vice president of NNC (N/A)” The nine members are – ‘lt’ Along, ‘commandant’ Zhalo, ‘commandant’ Keginkum, ’major’ Shokhia, ‘major’ Kakong, ‘major’ J.Akum, ‘capt’ Along, ‘capt’ Chipung and ‘capt’ Muthrong.  In a press note, they stated: “…we are not with the self style V.Nagi & Keuthsang. Brig. Keorun Commandant & Keshu. Retd. Village Guard. (Huld), especially Keshu he have no relationship with the NNC (N/A)but he is like V.Nagi playing for his own benefits, so not only the yimchunger but all the Naga’s have nothing to worry for that, and there is no need to co-operate with V.Nagi & Panger Walling self style group.who is only standing for the money matter! Not for the Naga nation (sic)”.

3 NSCN/GPRN Khaplang discharged

Dimapur, July 5 (MExN):
Three officials of NSCN/GPRN Khaplang have been forced discharged by the order of the president of NSCN/GPRN SS Khaplang. They were expelled from the group for “deserting the formation and joining the bands of secessionist herded at Khehoi Camp (sic)”, stated a press note from NSCN/GPRN. The discharged cadres are ‘lt gen’ Neokpao, ‘lt.col’ Shellen and ‘lt. col’ Shunlao. Also, the services rendered by them shall be treated null and void, the note affirmed.

CM Chang visits Peren

Peren, July 5 (DIPR):
Member of Parliament Lok Sabha, CM Chang visited Peren on July 5. He was received by Heads of Department Peren, public leaders and members of Vigilance & Monitoring Committee, Peren at the DC’s Conference Hall, Peren. During his visit, he had a meeting with members of Vigilance & Monitoring Committee, representative officers from Rural Development Department, Power Department, Land Resources Department, PHED, RADS and others.

Meeting of NLA rescheduled

KOHIMA, JULY 5 (DIPR):
The meeting of the Committee to Scrutinize Parliamentary Laws for application to Nagaland on Separation of Judiciary from Executive and the Nagaland Registration of Marriage Bill, 2007, that was earlier fixed on 7th July 2011 has been postponed to 8th July 2011. The time and place of the meeting remain the same. All the members concerned have been requested to note the change in date and attend the meeting positively. This was stated in a message received from the Secretary, Nagaland Legislative Assembly, A.E. Lotha.

Counseling, spot admission on July 6 & 7

Dimapur, July 5 (MExN):
Counseling and spot admission to Allied Health Degree Courses, Pharmacy, Engineering and Management of Assam Down Town University, Guwahati, will be held on July 6 and 7 at the Directorate of Technical Education Nagaland, Kohima. The minimum Qualification for admission is 10+2 passed with 40% in Science/Arts/Commerce. Interested candidates are requested to report to the office of the undersigned from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on the specified dates. The University will provide a special concession in tuition fee structure, informed the Director of Directorate of Technical Education A Kathipri in a press note.
