19th Phek ACCC refutes NPF press statement
Dimapur, July 25 (MExN): The 19th Phek ACCC was amused to see the press statement issued by the NPF 19th Phek A/C in local dailies on July 23, 2011 on the resignation of some Congress office bearers of Ruzazho village unit.
Huvosa S Venuh 19th Phek ACCC President and Vice President, Murhaveyi Khesoh in a press note stated that the party exists and functions under its constitution. Therefore constitutionally, the higher authority (the 19th Phek ACCC in the present case) alone has the power to dissolve the subordinate organization on valid ground. The Congress party took the resignation as a blessing in disguise giving the fact that the defectors had independently functioned as the dissident group and refused to co-operate with the 19th Phek ACCC since their installation. With their exit, the Congress party is confident that the party will be able to function smoothly with the installation of the new team, stated the press note.
Further, the ACCC said that the NPF 19th Phek A/C had made a fool of themselves and created history by announcing the dissolution of another political party; the Congress Unit of Ruzazho village. Therefore, the NPF 19th Phek A/C should not mislead the public for cheap political gain.
