One resigns from Congress to join NPF
Dimapur, August 22 (MExN): Congress party president at Lirmen village unit, P. Kumzuk Longchar has tended resignation and joined the NPF party. This was stated in a press note issued by P. Kumzuk.
NGA meeting on Aug 28
Dimapur, August 22 (MExN): All the Gorkha District Units of Nagaland are informed that there will be an emergency meeting of Nagaland Gorkha Association on August 28, 2011 at 11:00 am in the Gorkha Public Panchayat Hall, Chandmari, Kohima. Therefore, all the presidents and executives/representatives of all the District Units are requested to be present in the meeting without fail. Village Health & Nutrition Day at Peren
Dimapur, August 22 (MExN): Village Health & Nutrition Day was conducted at New Peren village on August 16, 2011. A team led by Dr.Tiala Dy.CMO and Dr.Khrielasanuo DIO examined 58 patients, immunized 11 children and three sputum was collected. Free medicines were also distributed to the patients. During the later part of the day interaction with the VHC, village council and villagers was held.
29 Jangpetkong NPF AC general meet held
Dimapur, August 22 (MExN): The general meeting of 29 Jangpetkong Assembly Constituency NPF party was held at Mangkolemba at the residence of Ningsangkaba, treasurer of this constituency on August 13, 2011. A press note issued by Tongpangnochet, president, and Lanauwati, general secretary, NPF, 29 Jangpetkong respectively stated that the meeting thoroughly discussed the functioning of the party including interaction of party affairs. The meeting unanimously resolved to bury all misunderstanding if any among the party workers and to shoulder the responsibilities assigned to each party worker to achieve the destiny. The meeting was attended from all the units in the constituency including Dr. I Longri, ex candidate and vice-president, NPF headquarters, Nagaland. The meeting also discussed of the party forthcoming re-vamping of the NPF party.
NPMHR deem Aug 20 meet as historic
Dimapur, August 22 (MExN): NPMHR has stated that the historic meeting on August 20, 2011 on "Journey of Common Hope" of the top leaders was much needed impetus and energy for reconciliation. A press note issued by Kenneth, Co-convenor, NPMHR stated, “This has been the dreams of every Naga that all the top leaders come together to mutually understand and resolve the historical and political rights of the Nagas. The meet in itself is historic and timely and NPMHR appreciates the collective efforts and wisdom of all parties involved,” NPMHR also urges everyone to remember that reconciliation is a process and not the end, but to commit to achieving the aims and aspiration of the Nagas is the ultimate goal.
Rescheduling of Air India flight today
DIMAPUR, AUGUST 22 (MExN): The Station Manager of Air India Ltd Dimapur has informed that due to operational reason departure time of AI9752 August 23 (Dimapur/Gauhati) has been revised to 1110 hrs. Hence all joining passengers of AI 9752 are requested to report for check-in at Dimapur Airport at 0940 hrs.
Phek Govt College mourns demise of senior faculty
DIMAPUR, AUGUST 22 (MExN): The Principal, Faculty, Office Staff, Students & Members of the Advisory Board of Phek Government College deeply mourned the sudden and untimely demise of Senior Faculty Member Huvesü Khamo, Associate Professor, Head of Department of Political Science, Phek Government College on the 20th of August, 2011. NSL mourns demise of Late N. Hangsing, IAS
Dimapur, August 22 (MExN): The officers and staff of the Directorate of Nagaland State Lotteries, Kohima has stated shock and deeply sadness by the news of the untimely demise of former Director Late N. Hangsing, IAS, Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, who passed away at Guwahati on August 21, 2011. A press note issued by Kenilo Apon, NCS, Director, Nagaland State Lotteries, Kohima stated “He was a jolly, noble and upright officer who came to this Department as Director from September 2007 to March 2009.” The officers and staff of the Directorate of Nagaland State Lotteries conveyed their deepest grief and sorrow to the bereaved family members and pray to Almighty God to grant solace to the departed soul.
