Dimapur, September 27 (MExN): The Nagaland Evaluation Technical Services (NETSA) held an emergency meeting on September 19 and reaffirmed its earlier representation to the Government against the filling up the post of Joint Director of Evaluation on deputation at nay cost which is against the service rules. It further resolved that in the event of non-fulfillment of its genuine demand the association shall take its own course of action, informed a press note issued by its president Shinito Sema and general secretary I Sentinuklu Jamir.
Career conference at Pfutsero, Pholami
Kohima, September 27 (MExN): The Vocational Guidance & Counseling Cell, SCERT Nagaland organized a career conference at GHS Pfutsero on September 22 last where 125 secondary students were given career counseling to opt for various academic and vocational courses after HSLC exam. Similar conference also took place today at Govt High School Pholami, according to Zavise Rume, Zavise Rume, officer- in- charge, vocational guidance and counseling cell, SCERT, Nagaland.

Dimapur, September 27 (MExN): The members of the Gorkha Students’ Union Kohima have been informed that the Gorkha students Kohima is going to print its 1st Annual Magazine; therefore all the intending members can forward their articles, poems, jokes etc…, to any of the present executive members on or before October 31, informed its president in a press note.
Composit Farm School inauguration
Dimapur, September 27 (MExN): The ATMA Peren District is inaugurating its Composit Farm School as per the ATMA Management Committee Meeting resolution No. 3, Dated 7th July 2011, on 30th September 2011 at 11:00 AM together with the Orientation of Farmers’ Friend at LRD, IWDP Site, Old Jalukie Upper Village. Imsong Meren, SDO Civil, Jalukie has been consented to grace the programme as chief guest. Therefore, all AMC Members, Block Convenors and Farmers’ Friend under ATMA Peren District are hereby requested to attend the programme without fail.
Tree plantation drive held
Kohima, September 27 (MExN): The NCC (JD) cadets of government high school, Botsa has organized a Tree plantation drive on 21st September at the construction site of its new building near EAC HQ Botsa. The saplings were collected from the forest by the cadets in advance and the plantation drive was initiated and organized by Ahichu Kath, Associate NCC officer GHS Botsa. Encouraging the students to carry such social services to the people of the area and headmaster GHS Botsa, Therise Vero also granted special leave to all the NCC cadets to enable them to join for the event.

Dimapur, September 27 (MExN): The Bethesda Youth Welfare Centre, Learning Site, commenced the 1st batch of Peer Educators training for Targeted Intervention Projects under Nagaland State AIDS Control Society at Centre for Community Transformation Training Complex with Project Director NSACS, Dr. N.L.Changkija as the special guest on September 23.
The programme was chaired by Longshithung, Learning Site Coordinator, while the welcome and keynote address was delivered by W.C. Humtsoe, Executive Director, Bethesda YWCD. The vote of thanks was delivered by Lipokchiten Jamir, Asst. Director, Bethesda YWCD. All together 25 participants from Kohima and Dimapur TI Projects supported by NSACS is attending the 5 Day Training Program. It is note mentioning that Learning Site Program (Training) is supported by EHA – GFATM Round – 9 HIV/IDU project (HIFAZAT).

Zbto training of trainers for measles catch up campaign
Dimapur, September 27 (MExN): The district levels training of trainers for measles catch up campaign Zunheboto was held in CMO Office on September 15. Dr. Alemwabang (DIO) Zbto chaired the programme and Dr. Hokishe Sema CMO, Zbto gave the keynote address.
A press note received here stated that during the training various topics like rational for measles second dose and operational plans, introductions of AEFIs and national guidelines for reporting and management, preventing AEFIs during measles campaign, communication for measles catch up campaigns and micro planning/ cold chain/ supervision etc were discussed.
Altogether 27 participants comprising of Medical Officers, Doctors from 8th NAP Naltoqa and 21st Assam Rifles, District Programme Manager, Zbto, District Media Officer, Zbto, District Programme Officer,DAPCU Zbto, Block Programme Managers, School Health Coordinator and Pharmacist were trained. Dr. Khriezotuo (DIO) Phek and Dr. Roko MO i/c Dzulhami PHC were the resource persons, the note stated.

Tolongsore sub centre inaugurated
Dimapur, September 27 (MExN): Tolongsore sub-centre under Chare block, Tuensang was inaugurated by Principal Director (PD), department of health and Family welfare Dr. Imtimeren on September 24. In his speech, the PD said that the sub-centre was a long awaited dream of the department and the villagers as well. He said the sincerity and dedication of the staff and the Village Health Committee was a major factor for building the sub-centre covering Tolongsore, Longkhetpeh and Alisopur villages.
The PD appealed to the villagers to maintain the sub-centre as their own and to participate and co-operate in making the sub-centre the best in the district and state. In a short speech, the Mission Director (MD) NRHM Dr. Toshevi also expressed her gratitude to the villagers for their hospitality and advised the community to prioritize health as a main component in developing the villages. She also requested the staff to be sincere and regular.
Also in a short speech, Joint Director and convenor of communitization Dr. Kemp asked the community to co-operate with the VHC and staff from the department in maintaining healthcare. Other officials who attended the inauguration included State ProgrammeManagement Officer (SPMO) NRHM Dr. Kevichusa, Dr. Kikameren deputy director NRHM and Dr. John from IDSP.
