Dimapur, October 1 (MExN): The Additional Deputy Commissioner of Wokha, Anthony Ngullie has informed in a press note that in view of the ensuing special revision of electoral rolls with reference to January 2012 as the qualifying date, all the booth level officers under Wokha district are hereby informed that a training will be held on October 3, 11:00 am at Deputy Commissioner Conference Hall Wokha. All relevant forms and instructions will also be issued during the said training. All the booth level officers under Wokha district are therefore directed to attend the training without fail.
Konyak Bible revised edition to be released
Dimapur, October 1 (MExN): The Bible Society of India is going to release Konyak Naga Bible revised edition on October 9 at Mission Centre Church (KBBB HQ) Mon, Nagaland by Rev. Dr. ZK Rochill, Auxiliary Secretary BSI Dimapur Auxiliary. Rev. Aheto Sema Translation Adviser Shillong will bring greetings on behalf of Translation department. The first translated text of Konyak Naga Bible was released on February 2, 1992. Tremendous response was received from Konyak Naga community and 5000 Bibles were sold off on the day of released. Following the progress of the readership among Konyak Naga community the need for revision aroused. Hence Rev. Y Chingang, Church leader did revision work as translator. Before their Bible is printed, Konyak people paid 6 lakhs for printing 5000 Bibles through Chemyuh Konyak Executive Secretary Konyak Baptist Churches Association (KBBB).
Free career seminar conducted at DPS
Dimapur, October 1 (MExN): The India Northeast Tribal Community Welfare society, Dimapur under the aegis of Libra Consultancy-its educational wing conducted a free career oriented educational seminar at Delhi Public School, Dimapur on September 24 for class 11 and 12 science stream students. Resource person Aheno, assistant professor stressed on the need to look beyond MBBS and engineering courses for career options and highlighted that there are many alternative choices. She advised the students to take up courses based on their intrinsic skills, talents and interest and highlighted many new and fresh course options available today for science stream. She also spoke on the importance of right career planning at the appropriate time of schooling and advised the students to study hard and obtain high percentage if they want to study in the best institutes.
One resigns; join NPF
Kohima, October 1 (MExN): Vihuto Jimo, vice president 36th ACCC Satakha has resigned and joined NPF party to strengthen the party in the area. Stating that he resigned from vice president 36th ACCC Satakha in the interest of public of 36th A/C Satakha, he also stated that his resignation was also in appreciation of numerous developmental activities taken up by G. Kaito Aye, minister for R&B. In a release received here today, Jimo also appealed to all his former colleagues Congress workers of 36th A/C to re-consider their position in the interest of the area benefits.

Zunheboto District VDB Association building inaugurated
Zunheboto, October 1 (MExN): The Zunheboto District VDB Association has inaugurated its office building-cum-conference hall on September 29 with Asangla Aier, Project Director DRDA Zunheboto formally unveiling the plaque. The association in a press note stated that in her speech, Asangla Aier urged the Association to take the rural people to new heights through various schemes under rural development. With the VDB now growing in years in Nagaland, she asserted that villages in Nagaland were now better placed as compared to olden days and further reminded the VCC and VDB Secretaries of the major role they ought to shoulder in uplifting the people in rural areas. The programme was attended by all the VDB Secretaries and VC Chairmen under Zunheboto district and a host of representatives.
District co-ordination meet on PACT prog held
Kiphire, October 1 (MExN): The District co-ordination meeting on PACT was held at the official chamber of the Chief Medical Officer Kiphire which was attended by Hony Secretary IRCS Kiphire branch, IBAPWO, KpNP+, DIO , DMO, Parish Priest and Chief Medical Officer.
Speaking at the occasion the Chief Medical officer Kiphire Dr Sungit Jamir said, ‘It is a matter of concern that HIV/AIDS case is growing in the district and seeks the opinion of the members present as to how the disease can be contain so that people live a better life’. He also called upon the NGO present working in the sectors to come together and work so that the living condition of the people is improved he also added, we should all try to give preventive aspect so that they don’t become a victim’.
Sharing his concern the CMO also said, ‘High risk people are not coming to test the blood and we cannot force the people to test the blood so we should all join hands and work and finds a way out to bring those people to get their blood tested so that they have quality life’.

NSS-Unit Patkai organize free medical camp
Dimapur, October 1 (MExN): NSS-Unit of Patkai Christian College (Autonomous) under the initiative of Bendangnungsang, Programme Officer, NSS, organized a Free Medical Camp at Seithekema ‘C’ Village, Dimapur, (adopted village of Patkai NSS) on October 1, 2011, in commemoration of National Voluntary Blood Donation Day. Bie-u Thepa, village chairman opened the camp and said that the villagers have always valued the admirable service and welcomed yet again the good quality work rendered by the NSS-Unit of Patkai for the villagers, and also expressed gratitude to Doctors, nurse and the NSS volunteers of Patkai for their complimentary service.
Around 170 villagers turned up to avail the medical facilities. The camp was conducted by a medical team led by Dr. Temsu, Medical Office, in charge of Blood Bank, civil hospital, Dimapur, Dr. Amenla Longkumer, RMO,11 NAP (IR) Bn., Dr. Lima Imsong, RMO, 13 NAP(IR) Bn. , Dr. Temjenmongba, NPRH, Chumukedima, Thunchamo Lotha, Pharmacist, 13 NAP(IR) and Asola, Sub-nurse, Civil Hospital, Dimapur.
