
Dimapur, October 10 (MExN): Rotary International District Governor 3240 Rtn. Prabhat Kumar Kedia will be paying an official visit to Rotary Club of Dimapur on October 11.
A press note stated that Rotary International is the oldest non-profit service organization in the world with a membership of 1.21 million spread over 200 countries divided into 34 zones and 531 districts. The Rotary District 3240 encompasses seven states of North-East India and part of North Bengal which consist of Seventy Clubs.
“District Governor visits hold much importance for any club that he visits during his gubernatorial year. It’s during this period he interacts with the club leaders and looks into the administrative affairs on the working of Rotary and its various humanitarian programs that the club carries apart from visiting projects site that the club has undertaken locally and holding club assembly training which features to discuss the road map of Rotary services for the community and underprivileged sections of the society,” the note said.
It also said that during his visit to Dimapur he shall be attending the valedictory function of the Artificial Limps and Calipers Fitting Camp for Lower Limps and inaugurating the Free Education Centre for Destitute Children at Burma camp by providing reading material to the children run by an NGO. In the evening apart from inspecting the Youth Education Centre, he shall address the Rotarians, Rotaractors, Media and esteemed guests at Rotary Centre at 7:00 pm.
