RPF rescues minor

Maligaon, January 30 (MExN): The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of NF Railway has rescued four minors from different stations during drives and checks conducted over NF Railway on January 27. 

The RPF of Kamakhya jointly with Crime Intelligence Branch (CIB) team of Guwahati conducted a routine check at Kamakhya railway station. During the check, they rescued one run away minor girl. Later the rescued minor was handed over to Railway Childline, Guwahati for safe custody and further course of action. 

The RPF of Lumding during a routine check at Lumding railway station rescued one run away minor girl and two run away minor boys. After identification the matter was informed to their parents by RPF. Later, the minors were handed over to their respective parents after proper verification.

During the period from April to December, 2022 RPF of NF Railway has rescued 686 minor children and 39 women with arrest of 10 human traffickers, Sabyasachi De, Chief Public Relations Officer, NFR stated in a press release.
